1. When was Alcoa incorporated?
The company was formed as a Pennsylvania corporation in 1888 as the Pittsburgh Reduction Company. Its name was changed to Aluminum Company of America in 1907 and to Alcoa Inc. in 1999.

2. When did Alcoa go public?
Alcoa listed stock on the New York Curb Exchange, the forerunner of the American Stock Exchange, in 1925. The company listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1951 and was named to the Dow Jones Industrial Average in 1959.
