The facility will produce anodes for Alcoa’s Fjardaal aluminum smelter in Iceland and the Mosjoen aluminum smelter in Norway. Alcoa built the facility with managing partner Elkem Aluminium ANS, which has a 36% share in the Mosjoen anode plant.
